"Watch Them Grow" Contest


Official Rules

No purchase is necessary.

1. Eligibility

The "Watch Them Grow" RESP Contest (the "Contest") is open to legal residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province/territory of residence. Officers, directors, representatives and employees of C.S.T. Consultants Inc. (the "Sponsor"), Rogers Television, a division of Rogers Cable Communications Inc., First MemoriesTM, a division of LightSpeed Studios Inc., any additional cross-promotion partners, and each of their respective affiliates, advertising, promotional, publicity, production agencies, any Contest judging agencies, and members of the immediate family (parents, children, siblings and spouses, regardless of where they reside) or members of the household of the above individuals, are not eligible to enter.

To qualify, entries must designate a child who has not had his/her 12th birthday prior to December 31, 2008 ("Child"). The Contest commences on or about January 1, 2008. Entries must be received by 11:59:59 P.M. ET ("Eastern Time") on December 31, 2008 ("Contest Closing Date").

2. How to Enter

(a) No purchase is necessary. Obtain and complete an official entry form, while supplies last, from one of the following locations:

  • From participating Sales Representatives of Sponsor in Canada;
  • On-line, from time to time as and if available during the Contest period, through websites of participating Contest cross-promotion partners;
  • By telephone, from time to time as and if available during the Contest period, by calling a toll free number as may be advertised in certain markets; or
  • On an 8.5" x 11" piece of paper, hand print your name, complete mailing address, telephone number.

(b) Deposit your completed entry in an official Contest ballot box, submit the entry form online as instructed, or mail the completed entry form or piece of paper in an envelope bearing sufficient postage, to:

All entries become the property of Sponsor and none will be acknowledged or returned. Original entries only; no photocopies or other reproductions. Any use of automated devices is prohibited.

3. Winner Selection


A. Random Draw

An independent judging organization will conduct a random draw on or around January 30, 2009 at 10 Bay Street, Toronto, Ontario at or around 10:00 a.m. ET from all entries received on or before the Contest Closing Date. Selected entrants will be notified by mail or telephone. The odds of winning will depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

The judging will be conducted by an independent judging organization whose decisions on all aspects of this Contest will be final and binding in all respects. By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the independent judging organization. The Contest is subject to all applicable laws. Official Rules will be posted for the duration of the Contest at: www.EducateYourChildren.com. '

B. Grand Prize Round

One (1) entrant will be selected in the random draw to play for the Grand Prize, the $25,000 RESP contribution described below. Twelve (12) security envelopes will be couriered to a C.S.T. Consultants Inc. Sales Representative (CSTC Sales Representative) on or about February 22, 2009. The CSTC Sales Representative will deliver the twelve (12) security envelopes to the selected entrant. The entrant will have the opportunity to choose and open ONLY three (3) of the twelve (12) security envelopes. The CSTC Sales Representative will be present while the entrant opens three (3) envelopes. Three (3) of the twelve (12) security envelopes will be randomly seeded with a slip of paper containing a winning symbol. If the entrant selects three (3) matching, winning symbols, he or she will be eligible to win the Grand Prize upon verification by the third-party contest management partner. The entrant will be required to mail the three (3) opened security envelopes along with remaining nine (9) unopened security envelopes all together in a postage-paid, pre-addressed envelope provided for examination and verification. The odds of selecting the three (3) envelopes containing the winning symbols are 1 in 220. In the event that the entrant does not choose the three (3) envelopes containing three (3) matching symbols, the participant will be eligible to win the Consolation Prize described below, a $2,500 RESP contribution.

4. Prizes

Grand Prize: One (1) Grand Prize is available to be won, consisting of a $25,000 contribution to a Canadian Scholarship Trust - Group Savings Plan 2001 RESP.

Consolation Prize: Only in the event that the Grand Prize is not won, one (1) consolation prize will be available to be won by the Grand Prize contestant selected to play in the Grand Prize round, consisting of a $2,500 contribution to a Canadian Scholarship Trust - Group Savings Plan 2001 RESP.

$500 RESP Contribution: Six(6) entrants will be selected in the random draw as eligible to win a $500 contribution to a Canadian Scholarship Trust - Group Savings Plan 2001 RESP.

Prize must be accepted as awarded with no substitution, exchanges, transfers or refunds of the Prize, whether in cash or otherwise. Winner must accept the terms and conditions of the Plan as set out in the current Prospectus and Education Savings Plan Agreement. A copy of the Prospectus may be obtained from Sponsor by sending a written request to C.S.T. Consultants Inc. 600 - 240 Duncan Mill Rd., Don Mills, Ontario M3B 3P1 or by calling 1-877-333-7377. The Prize will be delivered to the winner''s residence. Prize winners cannot establish a Canadian Scholarship Trust - Group Savings Plan 2001 RESP until the Child is born.

Prize Claim Conditions

To be declared a winner, the selected entrant will be required to:

(a) correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by mail or telephone; and

(b) complete, sign and return a declaration and release form, confirming compliance with the Official Rules, accepting the Prize as awarded, and releasing Sponsor, Rogers Television, a division of Rogers Cable Communications Inc., First MemoriesTM, a division of LightSpeed Studios Inc., any additional cross-promotion partners, each of their respective affiliates, advertising, promotional, publicity, and production agencies, any Contest judging agencies, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, successors and assigns (the "other Releasees") from any liability relating to the Contest or the Prize, and consenting to the use by Sponsor of his or her name, address (city and province), age and photograph or other likeness, as described more fully below.

If a selected entrant cannot be contacted within ten business days, or if for any other reason the Prize cannot be awarded, the Prize may be forfeited and awarded to alternate entrant. Communication will be entered into only with the selected entrant. Failure by any selected entrant to complete, sign and return any of the aforementioned documents within 14 business days after notification is sent to the address on the selected entrant's entry, or the return of Prize documents as undeliverable, may result in forfeiture of the Prize and selection of an alternative winner in the sole discretion of Sponsor.

5. Personal Information

By entering, an entrant consents to Sponsor's collection, use and disclosure of his/her personal information, and that of the designated Child, for the purposes of administering the Contest and fulfilling the Prize. The personal information of each entrant and his/her Child will not be otherwise used or disclosed without the consent of the entrant, whether obtained on the official entry form or otherwise.

6. Publicity Release

By accepting the Prize, the winner consents to the use of the name, age, address and photograph or other likeness of him or herself, and his or her Child, in any publicity related to this Contest, without further compensation, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media now known or hereafter devised, including but not limited to the Internet.

7. No Responsibility

Sponsor and the other Releasees will not be responsible for:

(a) Lost, delayed, altered, destroyed, incomplete, inaccurate, illegible, postage-due, misidentified or misdirected entries, or entries deemed irregular by Sponsor or that otherwise are not in compliance with the Official Rules, all of which entries will be void; or

(b) Incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, or human, technical or printing errors or any other problems, errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the Contest.

Without limiting the generality of any provision contained herein, and for greater certainty, Sponsor and the other Releasees will not be liable for: a) any incomplete or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest, or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of entries; b) the theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; c) any problems with, or technical malfunctions of, telephone or cable networks or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, viruses or bugs; d) any failure of any e-mail to be received by or from Sponsor for any reason including but not limited to traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof; or e) damage to a participant's or other person's system occasioned by participation or downloading of materials in this Contest.

8. Right to Cancel/Modify Contest

Subject to the approval in Quebec of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux in respect of Quebec, Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify this Contest at any time without notice if, in its sole discretion, it determines that this Contest is not capable of running as originally planned for any reason, or if fraud or any other occurrence compromises the fairness or integrity of the Contest.

9. General Release and Indemnity

By entering, entrants agree to release and indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor and the other Releasees from any claim, loss, expense (including legal fees) or other liability which may be sustained in connection with the Contest including, without limitation, any damages resulting from the acceptance, receipt, ownership or use or misuse of the Prize, or while preparing for, participating in, and/or travelling to any Prize-related activity.

10. On-Line Entries

In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an online entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. The selected entrant may be required to provide Sponsor with proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the selected entry.

11. Unsportsmanlike Conduct

Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify, from this Contest and any future Contest or other promotion conducted by Sponsor, any individual that it finds or believes to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or Contest-related websites; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

12. No Warranties

Sponsor and the other Releasees will not be liable to the winner for any guarantee, warranty, condition or representation, express or implied, relating to the Prize.

13. Quebec Residents

Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
